| Customer Reviews: A wonderful sampling of great pieces August 23, 2009 David C. Reed (Earth) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Listening to classical music while reading in the evening has always been a great joy. And while I already had around 500 different pieces from Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach, Chopin...I wanted to add some more to the collection.
I already have some of the pieces on here by other performers, but I thought I'd give it a try. And am glad I did. I've opened up my collection to both other composers and other performers and now have different things to investigate to add to my collection.
At $7.99 this collection works out to $0.08 per song, which is a great price even if you don't like one or two pieces. If you don't like 12 of the pieces that's just about a buck, so what's there to lose?
Definitely a hit! June 18, 2009 M+ (Temecula, CA USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is without doubt a phenomenal collection. Agreed, maybe a bit eclectic but nevertheless phenomenal! Talking about eclectic, the "99 Essential Chants" is a pretty good one too.
great value but inconsistent volume levels June 1, 2009 L R (Las Vegas, NV USA) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Awesome deal but I've noticed that the volume needs to be frequently adjusted. It's not because of the natural variations in volume/tone that are part of the compositions. Seems I'm constantly turning the volume up or down depending on the track to keep it within hearing but not too loud to disturb other co-workers. Had this same problem with the 99 most relaxing songs download as well. Great deal but gets annoying having to change the volume so often.
A Great Value for $7.99 May 15, 2009 Michael D. LaPoff (Tucson, AZ) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I have most of these pieces scattered across multiple discs but I figured for $8 I'd give it a try. Thoroughly enjoyable!! 11-1/2 hours of great music for $8!! These are not the greatest recordings of these pieces ever made but they are all good to great. If you are new to classical music this is the best start and the best value you can find. If you are a classical enthusiast, as I am, still highly recommended.
Nice but not the best May 4, 2009 Charly (USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
For the price, hell yes: go for it! However, I cannot say it's the best of the best. I couldn't find the composers in the ID3 tags: only the orchestra/artists playing the piece... a little bit annoying...
